WE 20T Speaking Tube Telephone
Western Electric 20T candlestick telephone. Back before electric intercom systems existed one means of communicating within buildings was via a speaking tube. It consisted of tubing running between points. Speaking into the tube in one room could be picked up in another. This was the modern replacement, the "Speaking Tube Phone". This antique telephone is equipped with a *225* beveled transmitter, and early hard rubber "watch case" receiver.
